Scope

Personality and Social Psychology Review is an official journal of SPSP, the Society for Personality and Social Psychology, Inc. It is the premiere outlet for original theoretical papers and conceptual review articles in all areas of personality and social psychology. In the pages of PSPR, you will find stimulating conceptual pieces that identify exciting new directions for research on the psychological underpinnings of human individuality and social functioning, as well as comprehensive review papers that provide new, integrative frameworks for existing theory and research programs. Some of the topics covered by the journal include (but are not limited to): -Attitudes and Social Cognition -- research examining the inner workings of the human mind as it strives to understand, evaluate, and respond to the social environment. -Interpersonal and Group Processes -- research examining the patterns of interaction and interdependence that characterize everyday human functioning. -Intergroup Relations -- research examining the determinants of prejudice and conflict, as well as cooperative and harmonious relationships between members of different social groups. -Personality and Individual Differences -- research examining the causes, assessment, structures, and processes that characterize and give rise to human variation -Biological and Cultural Influences -- research examining the biological and cultural mediation of social psychological and personality processes. Quartiles

The set of journals have been ranked according to their SJR and divided into four equal groups, four quartiles. Q1 (green) comprises the quarter of the journals with the highest values, Q2 (yellow) the second highest values, Q3 (orange) the third highest values and Q4 (red) the lowest values.

The SJR is a size-independent prestige indicator that ranks journals by their 'average prestige per article'. It is based on the idea that 'all citations are not created equal'. SJR is a measure of scientific influence of journals that accounts for both the number of citations received by a journal and the importance or prestige of the journals where such citations come from It measures the scientific influence of the average article in a journal, it expresses how central to the global scientific discussion an average article of the journal is.

This indicator counts the number of citations received by documents from a journal and divides them by the total number of documents published in that journal. The chart shows the evolution of the average number of times documents published in a journal in the past two, three and four years have been cited in the current year. The two years line is equivalent to journal impact factor ™ (Thomson Reuters) metric.
